International Sessions

About International Sessions

In annual conferences of the Robotics Society of Japan, English presentation is accepted in any regular or organized sessions. However, many of the participants of the conference are Japanese whose native language is Japanese. In order to make it easier for foreign researchers to attend and make presentations in the conference, the RSJ organized several international sessions last year. In the international sessions the official language is English and the chairperson, speakers, and participants are required to use English in the communication.

The RSJ will organize the international sessions again this year. The paper submission procedure of the international sessions is different from that applied to other sessions. The contributors are required to send the manuscript to the organizers of individual sessions. (The online submission form found in the conference web page does not apply to international sessions.)

The fee for paper contribution to the international sessions is free. The fee for participation in the international sessions is also free. However, it should be noted that a charged conference registration is necessary to obtain a conference DVD-ROM and a conference digest.

(note: A charged conference registration is required for participation in other sessions.)

Paper Submission Procedure

Deadline of paper submission: 17 July 2009

The contributors must read "Guide for Authors" carefully.

The contributors are required to send the manuscript and the abstract, and the figure of the abstract to the organizers of individual sessions by E-mail. The contributors are required to send the manuscript, the abstract, the figure, and the image of the signed copyright transfer form below to the secretary of the international sessions below by Fax or E-mail, too. The file size should be less than 500KB.(The online submission form found in the conference web page does not apply to international sessions.) The fee for paper contribution to the international sessions is free.

The fee for participation in the international sessions is free. However, it should be noted that a charged conference registration is necessary to obtain a conference proceedings (DVD-ROM) and a conference digest. The organizers of the international sessions can give the proceedings and the digest just to the speakers.
